weekend work

first weekend in while when i have had some free time. it was time. finished both the bikes that have been sat on top of the kitchen cupboards for the past year. Here is a breakdown for both

PINARELLO PRO-LOGO (c.1987)

bought the frame just before i left london for sydney (Dec 2009). massive thanks to phil for being a trustworth, decent seller. still, seemed like a silly thing to be doing, spending heaps of money and adding to pile of stuff listed "to ship". oh well, im pleased now
I did a bit of research, attempting as faithful a build as possible. found a lot of them running shimano 105 in the catalog photos. started with a fairly decent 105 groupset and worked from there. couldnt resist a bit of dura-ace too. got the wheels built up with the help of deus cycleworks. excellent shop. a few more hundred hours on ebay, a few fail purchases and a hell of a lot of pain running the internal cable routing and here we are.

EIMEI NJS (mid 90s)

another impromptu purchase back in the earlier part of 2010. i decided i wanted a dedicated ride, for the track. the frame is actually more purple than the pictures suggest, extremely bling, and supplied by njs export. thanks gabe. a few more njs purchases and another top wheel build via deus and here she is. i bit more training for me and we will be on the velodrome in less than a month. exciting times.

i'll have full spec and better pictures up soon. right now, i need to go riding
